MC Technical Recruitment is currently seeking to recruit an Accountant to support an engineering company specialising in the Renewable Energy industry. This role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day accounting activities while working closely with both the UK and international finance teams.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• General accounting duties, including entering information into SAP
• Creating and maintaining vendor master data
• Receiving, verifying, and posting invoices, purchase orders, and MIGOs
• Creating accrual objects for deferred and accrued expenses
• Creating and maintaining fixed asset master data
• Verifying invoices to be received (logistics and manual), reviewing down payments and clearing accounts
• Supporting intercompany reconciliations
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting
• Maintaining accurate paper and electronic filing systems

• Checking, posting, and clearing expense reports
• Verifying credit card statements
• Communicating refund values and resolving open items
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc. or similar. (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within an industrial or engineering-related environment
• Strong general accounting knowledge and ability to interpret financial statements
• Good Excel skills (tested during the selection process)
• Experience working with information systems; SAP experience is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data
