Technical Support Engineer

£45,000 plus car

MC Technical Recruitment is currently working with a specialist engineering business to recruit a Technical Support Engineer. This role is Monday to Friday 9am til 5pm & will act as a technical interface between the company & its customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineeringbackground who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and becoming a true product expert.

As the Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical support to customers via phone & email, resolving product & system-related queries
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and controls-based issues
• Becoming a product specialist, developing in-depth knowledge of systems & applications
• Supporting internal teams with technical expertise & application guidance
• Occasionally conducting site visits when necessary
• This role requires someone who can confidently communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and practical manner.
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A military, ex services background could suit
• HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in a technical support, field service, commissioning or controls-based role
• Ability to learn to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams & control system documentation
• Practical fault-finding & troubleshooting experience
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
