MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join a Power Station in South London. Our client is a leading business within the Power Generation and Waste Management sector, looking for an Operations Manager to join the team.

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Shift team Leaders and Plant operators ensuring the plant achieves its production targets in a safe and efficient manner.

As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring maximum efficiency
• Ensuring full compliance of Health, Safety and Environmental management systems
• Working closely with the Maintenance manager and General Manager regarding maintenance, outages and plant improvements
• Preparing an annual budget for senior management
• Responsible for site recruitment, staff training and appraisals
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven supervisory or management experience in an operational role within Power Generation: EfW/CHP/CCGT/Biomass/Coal etc
• Time-served/HND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline eg; engineering operations/electrical/mechanical/chemical
• Experience of managing budgets, training and development of staff
• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
