MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrician to join a small, close-knit team working on a major commercial solar installation project.

This role will involve working across a 200MW commercial solar panel installation, installing, testing and commissioning electrical systems as part of a small, specialist team, with travel to project sites nationwide.

As a Senior Electrician, you will be responsible for:

• Installing, testing and commissioning electrical systems on large-scale commercial solar PV installations
• Working as part of a small, specialist team to deliver a 200MW solar panel installation project
• Travelling to project sites across the UK as required, while being based in the North West
• Carrying out cable containment, terminations and electrical connections to a high standard
• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with current wiring regulations and health & safety standards
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) with a valid ECS/JIB Gold Card
• Proven experience on commercial or industrial electrical installations, ideally within renewables or solar
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• Willingness to travel and work away from home as required by project locations
• A full UK driving licence
