Overhead Lines Worker (HV/LV)

MC Technical Recruitment are currently looking to recruit an Overhead Lines Worker for a leading utilities contractor delivering overhead line projects across Ireland.

As an Overhead Lines Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Installing, maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing high voltage and low voltage overhead electrical lines and systems
• Working across both transmission and distribution networks from generation through to end users
• Climbing and working at height (up to 50m) on poles and towers in a safe and professional manner
• Supporting network operations, including outages, maintenance, and emergency repair works
• Carrying out emergency repairs during fault conditions such as weather damage or network disruption
• Undertaking live line working procedures where outages cannot be granted
• Operating MEWPs and associated equipment where required
• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with Health & Safety and SHEQ standards
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Utility-approved Overhead Lines Worker experience across 10kV / 20kV / LV and HV networks
• Relevant H&S certifications (Safe Pass, Climbing & Rescue, etc.)
• Full driving licence
• Proven experience working on overhead line projects
• Ability to work at height and in outdoor environments
• Fibre experience would be advantageous
