MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join the engineering team at a modern Energy from Waste (EfW) facility in Somerset.
As a EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day management of Electrical and Control & Instrumentation Technicians and apprentices.
- Planning, coordinating and supervising preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the plant.
- Managing electrical, control and instrumentation systems, including HV/LV equipment, DCS and CEMS.
- Coordinating maintenance during planned outages and responding to plant breakdowns when required.
- Managing contractors and ensuring all work is carried out safely under Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work.
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- HNC/ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience working within power generation, Energy from Waste, process manufacturing, heavy industrial or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair of electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and industrial instrumentation.
