Shift Team Leader

£56,000 + Bonus

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Shift Team Leader to join a Biomass Power Station near Thetford. This facility can export 44MW of Green Electricity, supplying 82,000 homes with energy. Our client is a global business with a number of sites across the UK, with the opportunity for a Shift Team Leader (STL) to join the team.

As the Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Reporting to the operations manager, responsible for the Shift Operations team and performance of the plant
• Ensuring the plant is operated in line with Safety, Environmental and Operational limits
• Perform routine safety checks and inspections
• Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure full plant efficiency
• Supervising external staff, such as third-party contractors
• Act in the role of SAP
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Demonstrable Operations experience in the Power or Process sector such as Biomass, Energy from Waste (EfW), CCGT or Coal
• A relevant qualification (HNC/Degree) within an Engineering discipline
• Good understanding of all Health, Safety and Environmental aspects
• SAP status is highly advantageous
• Proven management/leadership experience
