MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Lead Technician to join a leading power generation business.

This role will involve leading a small mechanical maintenance team of three technicians, coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant.

As a Mechanical Lead Technician, you will be responsible for:

· Leading and supporting a team of three mechanical technicians, managing performance and development.

· Planning and coordinating preventative, reactive and scheduled maintenance activities.

· Ensuring mechanical plant and equipment is maintained to maximise reliability and availability.

· Coordinating plant outages, breakdowns and contractor activities.

· Managing maintenance contractors, spares and supporting maintenance budgets.

· Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

To be considered for this role you should have:

· HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

· A minimum of five years' power plant maintenance experience in a mechanical supervisory role.

· Strong knowledge of thermal power plant operations, mechanical maintenance and safety systems.

· Experience leading and developing a small maintenance team.

· Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of maintenance budgets and ERP/CMMS systems. NEBOSH or IOSH would be advantageous.
