Power Station Operator – Power Generation

€32,450 – €48,750 + 33% shift allowance & benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for Power Station Operators to join a major power generation business in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work across three key stations, playing a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient plant operation as Ireland transitions towards Net Zero.

As a Power Station Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment
  • Supporting shift operations, monitoring, testing, and assessing plant conditions
  • Ensuring compliance with strict safety, environmental, chemical, and commercial standards
  • Maintaining accurate shift records and reporting to the Shift Team Leader / Operations Manager
  • Assisting in developing and implementing plant operating procedures and systems
  • Providing first-line maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting outage activities

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in process or plant operations
  • Ability to analyse, process, and control plant information and conditions
  • Flexibility and availability to provide shift cover as required
  • Craft qualification in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Fitting is desirable
  • Full driving licence
  • Relevant CSCS tickets or equivalent qualifications
  • Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation and standards
  • Familiarity with safe systems of work and contractor supervision
  • Experience with Maintenance/Operations Management Systems desirable
