Plant Operator – Incineration

C£48,000 plus overtime & benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Process Operator / Plant Operator to join an incineration plant based in the Slough area. As the Shift Plant Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out operational activities within a control room environment.

As the Plant Operator you will be responsible for:

• Control room based operations of the plant using a SCADA control system
• Carrying out daily checks including monitoring emissions, waste levels, etc.
• Ensure the plant is running safely and efficiently
• Working as part of a 4 on / 4 off shift rota including days and nights shifts
• Testing plant and equipment to ensure all in working order
• Liaising with contractors for repairs
• Following health and safety rules at all times
• General housekeeping and first line maintenance tasks
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Experience working in the waste / EFW sector or other heavy processing environments e.g. quarry, cement works, anaerobic digestion, water treatment etc.
• Operations experience using a SCADA control system or similar systems
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good IT skills – Microsoft Office Outlook / Word / Excel
• Experience of working within environmental permits is desirable
• CEMS / Weighbridge operations experience is also desirable

This role will require you to work a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern including days and nights.
