Plant Manager

£90,000 + Bonus

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Plant Manager for a Energy Recovery Facility based near Oxford.

As the Plant Manager, you will have full responsibility for the Energy Recovery Facility (ERF), leading a committed team toward operational excellence. Your primary focus will be to embed safety, predictability, reliability, & availability into every decision & action. You’ll cultivate a strong culture of ownership & accountability, championing a safety-first approach in all aspects of the operation.

As Plant Manager you will be responsible for:

• Leading the ERF site team, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
• Achieve & report on targets for plant availability, waste throughput & energy production.
• Drive a culture of performance, continuous improvement & staff development.
• Manage site financials, including P&L ownership, budgeting & cost control.
• Align operational practices with industry best standards & implement improvements.
• Maintain legal & regulatory compliance.

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven track record of leading large technical teams or departments at a senior management level.
• Strong financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing P&L, budgeting & financial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to implement & manage corporate management systems effectively.
• Senior leadership experience within power generation or a comparable process-driven environment.
• Extensive experience in contract management, including negotiation, execution & performance oversight.
