Plant Maintenance Engineer
Up to £32,500 (DOE) + Bonus + Benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are working with a rapidly growing energy services provider to recruit a Maintenance Engineer, supporting the delivery of operation and maintenance services across a network of commercial sites carrying out maintenance on a range of commercial plant.
In this field-based position, you’ll play a key role in maintaining critical plant infrastructure, including pumps, heat exchangers, pressurisation systems, and mechanical plantroom equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1–2 years' experience in plantroom maintenance who is looking to develop and grow within a technically progressive and fast-paced business.
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Performing planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across commercial sites
- Troubleshooting faults and reinstating systems such as pumps, valves, and pipework
- Attending emergency callouts on a rota basis (1 week in 4)
- Assisting with minor plantroom upgrades and mechanical project work
- Ensuring safe working practices including mechanical and electrical isolation
- Completing detailed maintenance records and using a digital work order system
- Supporting a high standard of reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Other duties as required
To be considered, you should have:
- A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in plant maintenance or building services
- Knowledge of commercial plant equipment, such as pumps, actuators, or heating systems
- Familiarity with technical drawings and schematics (e.g., P&IDs)
- Basic electrical understanding and ability to isolate plant safely
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn
- A full UK driving licence
The package on offer includes:
- Salary in the range of £27,500 - £32,500, depending on experience
