MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a plant operator to work on an Anaerobic Digestion plant, located in West Sussex. The Operator will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager with efficient and effective running of the plant.

As the Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Day to day running of the Anaerobic Digestion Plant

• Running the plant via a SCADA or DCS system- making sure that the plant is running as it should

• Visual fault finding on plant and equipment

• Performing first line maintenance, including isolation of key equipment to perform routine maintenance

• Feed the plant according to the regime to achieve optimal output

• Drive a Telehandler and other site machinery

• Contribute to positive site operations, assisting with continuous improvement opportunities

• Participate in reviewing risk assessments, produce new risk assessment and safe operating procedures

• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A qualification in Engineering (desirable) - HNC / HND in Mecahnical or Electrical Engineering

• Telehandler licence and experience operating mobile plant

• AD Site experience (desirable)

• The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

• Commitment to achieve the highest standards of work

• Live within a commutable distance to the site, for on-call rota (45 mins max)
