Operations Manager – Energy from Waste
Circa £75,000 + bonus + benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to lead the operations department of an Energy from Waste Power Station in the Midlands.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for directing & managing shift teams effectively to ensure the site meets its operational targets in a safe & efficient manner.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising a team of Shift Team Leaders ensuring efficient operation of the power station.
- Managing the development, delivery & review of operational procedures
- Working closely with Maintenance teams to maximise plant availability & performance.
- Supporting planned & unplanned outages safely & effectively
- Managing departmental budgets.
- Carrying out all activities with the highest regard for health & safety
- Other duties as required.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Experience at Shift Team Leader / Shift Manager / Operations Manager or similar in a continuous process facility involving the generation of high pressure steam. This could be energy from waste, biomass, CCGT, refinery etc
- A relevant engineering qualification such as HNC/ONC/NVQ etc
- Experience with coordinating & supervising work activities including shift staff & site contractors
- Experience working with process plant related to steam-powered electricity generation
Salary & benefits:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading business within the energy from waste sector. The role comes with:
- A salary of c£60,000 to £75,000
