Join a Leading Data Centre Project in Germany

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a major data centre construction project in Finsterwalde, Germany.

Working for a leading international engineering contractor, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the mobilisation and delivery of a large-scale data centre project. You will act as the central point of contact for HR, workforce compliance, immigration processes, and employee administration, ensuring full compliance with German employment legislation and project requirements.

As HR & Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Closely working with project leadership, operational teams, legal advisors, and external stakeholders to support a multicultural workforce throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring compliance with German employment legislation and labour regulations
  • Maintaining project-specific HR compliance frameworks and procedures
  • Supporting subcontractors with employment and compliance requirements
  • Assisting with internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance checks
  • Managing employee records, documentation, and reporting
  • Coordinating work permits, residence permits, and immigration requirements
  • Liaising with German authorities, municipalities, and external advisors
  • Monitoring visa and permit expiry dates to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Supporting onboarding, mobilisation, contract administration, and offboarding activities
  • Advising management teams on HR policies and employee relations matters
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements for rotational personnel
  • Managing and supporting project administration activities
  • Providing guidance and support to employees and subcontractors throughout the project
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience within HR, workforce compliance, or project administration
  • Experience supporting large construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of employment compliance and workforce management
  • Experience dealing with visas, work permits, and international mobility requirements
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multicultural teams
  • High levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment

Desirable Experience

  • Data centre, pharmaceutical, or major infrastructure project experience
  • Experience supporting rotational workforces
  • Previous experience working with German employment legislation or authorities
  • Experience coordinating workforce mobilisation across multiple countries
