MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join a major data centre construction project in Finsterwalde, Germany.
Working for a leading international engineering contractor, this is an excellent opportunity to support the successful delivery of a large-scale data centre project. You will work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Team to coordinate electrical installation activities, supervise site personnel, and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
As Electrical Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and coordinating electrical installation activities on site
- Leading teams of electrical tradespeople and subcontractors
- Monitoring daily progress and reporting site activities to the Construction Manager
- Reviewing and understanding project drawings, specifications, and scope of works
- Identifying and communicating variations and commercial impacts
- Developing and managing two-week look-ahead programmes
- Coordinating activities with other trades and project stakeholders
- Ensuring works are completed in line with commissioning and testing milestones
- Supporting procurement activities and tracking material deliveries
- Monitoring labour productivity and workforce allocation
- Ensuring only approved materials are installed in accordance with project specifications
- Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and inspection plans
- Conducting quality audits and managing snagging activities
- Ensuring drawings are red-lined and updated as works progress
- Reviewing manufacturer instructions and ensuring compliance during installation
- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
- Promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture across the project
- Ensuring all personnel are inducted and trained appropriately
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented
- Conducting toolbox talks and maintaining attendance records
- Completing site safety audits and ensuring actions are closed out
- Managing housekeeping standards and maintaining a safe working environment
- Participating in incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Supporting workforce planning and monitoring site attendance
- Completing employee performance assessments where required
- Attending project meetings and coordinating activities with the wider project team
- Escalating safety, quality, programme, and commercial issues when necessary
- Assisting with project close-out and lessons learned activities
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Senior Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years' site experience within Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Industrial, or Mission Critical environments
- Strong understanding of electrical installation activities and site coordination
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Previous experience leading site teams and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality requirements on major construction projects
- Experience managing labour resources and site productivity
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery requirements
Desirable Experience
- Previous Data Centre construction experience
- Experience working on large-scale European construction projects
- Experience supporting commissioning and handover activities
- Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection test plans
- First Aid, IOSH, or other relevant health and safety qualifications
- Experience working within mission-critical environments
